Definition of problem.
While I was a student at Norwich City College, I wished to use a copy
of Adobe Type Manager on the College computers, as I was spending a lot
of time preparing documents for the Diss Venture Scout Unit, including
the South Norfolk District Scout Newsletter, which we had taken responsibility
for. ATM is a piece of software, running under Windows, which allows the
user to see text on screen exactly as it will look on the final printout,
which makes desktop publishing very much easier. There was a copy of ATM
somewhere on the College network, but I was not allowed access to it. I
had to bring in my own copy from home, but for copyright reasons, I was
not allowed to leave my copy on the College network drives. I had to find
some suitable method of running the software without breaking the College
network rules.
