This is a much better effort. The viewpoint is only a mile or so above the ring floor, halfway across. The sun is of the correct size in this version, so the shadows cast by the shadow squares look just as they should. I cheated a little with the sky; it's a semitransparent sphere centred on the viewpoint in order to make the Arch look the right colour.
